12th Annual Hands On Atlanta 
Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Summit 

January 15-17, 2005 • King Historic District

This innovative three-day summit explores Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s message of service, diversity, activism and nonviolence.

 

All events are FREE and open to the public.

Saturday, January 15, 2005  
  Join us for interactive learning opportunities that present citizens with tangible ways to come together and change their community through volunteerism and social action.

 

Sunday, January 16, 2005  
  Explore the relationship between the arts, nonviolent social protest movements and activism.  Events for the day include a social issue documentary film series, a bus tour and performances.

 

Monday, January 17, 2005
  Pay tribute to Dr. King by participating in direct service projects. Make your King Holiday a day ON, not a day OFF!

 

All workshops are filled on a first come, first served basis.
